Pretoria - A man thought to be a taxi driver was wounded in a shooting between two rival taxi organisations at Laudium in Pretoria, paramedics said on Thursday.
Netcare 911 spokesperson Nick Dollman said paramedics responded to a call from the Laudium community health care centre at about 19:00 on Wednesday.
"When paramedics arrived on scene, they were told that there had been a shooting between two rival taxi organisations," Dollman said.
The man was wounded in both hands, his shoulder and his right leg.
Paramedics were not certain whether the wounded man was a taxi driver.
He was stabilised and transported by ambulance to hospital.
Dollman said due to the nature of the incident, the name of the hospital where the patient was taken cannot be provided.
