Johannesburg - A North West farmer has been arrested for stock theft, police said on Friday.
Captain Sabata Mokgwabone of Mmabatho police said 12 cattle were reported stolen in Lekoko Village near Mafikeng on Monday.
Two suspects were arrested on Wednesday and the third suspect was arrested on Thursday.
"The third suspect led the police to a farm near Rooigrond where they sold the cattle," he said.
He said the farmer allegedly paid R1 500 for eight cattle found on his farm. He was also arrested.
The four will appear in Mmabatho Magistrate's Court on Monday on charges of stock theft and possession of suspected stolen stock.
He said the owner of the cattle valued them at R30 000.
