Missing Sonja found dead Sonja: Village fears the worst Toddler missing in W Cape

Cape Town - The body of missing two-year-old Sonja Brown was found in a manhole in Rawsonville on Monday, Western Cape police said.

Captain Randall Stoffels said municipal workers found her body in a two-metre-deep manhole they were cleaning at about 10:30, and alerted the police.

A post-mortem would be conducted to determined the cause of death.

He said police would await a pathologist's report and a report from forensic experts before opening a murder docket.

Sonja Brown went missing on Saturday afternoon. She was last seen playing with friends outside a house in the De Nova informal settlement at Rawsonville.
