Johannesburg - A Germiston couple were hijacked and robbed in their driveway on Thursday, police said on Friday.
Police spokesperson Captain Steady Nawa said a 53-year-old woman was opening a gate at her home in Lambton, Germiston, on Thursday at about 18:20 while her husband, 56, was in the car.
A white BMW pulled next to their car and two armed men got out and pointed a firearm at the woman, instructing her not to scream.
The other robber pulled her husband out of the car and searched him.
They took a laptop valued at R6 000, cellphone and R10 000 belonging to the woman's employer. They also took her husband's wallet containing R200 and valuable documents.
They drove away with the couple's car, a silver Nissan Sentra with registration numbers FXM480GP.
Germiston police have appealed for people with information on the crime to contact Inspector Elvis Matsui on 072-492-7846.
