Polokwane - A "flashy" couple will appear in court on Friday after police who were conducting a door-to-door campaign found stolen goods in their house.
The door-to-door campaign was held in Mamabolo and Makotse villages near Polokwane on Tuesday where residents were encouraged to raise any safety concerns.
Police were then tipped off about a man and his girlfriend who, although unemployed, drove expensive cars, had expensive electrical appliances, furniture and large tents used for social gatherings.
"We found expensive items worth at least R200 000," said Lebowakgomo police spokesperson Captain Mamphaswa Seabi.
He said the couple would appear in the Nebo Magistrate's Court.
He said the couple is believed to be part of a wider crime syndicate and that there may be more suspects.
