NPA to investigate Mamasela?
21/07/2007 16:00 - (SA)
Johannesburg - The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) may investigate fresh allegations of apartheid killings made by former askari, Joe Mamasela, SABC radio reports.
Mamasela said some cases had not yet come to light, such as that of a Lesotho national who was brutally killed on the orders of a former Vlakplaas commander.
NPA spokesperson Panyaza Lesufi has encouraged Mamasela to come forward with information, according to the Saturday morning report.
This followed the NPA announcement that it would prosecute apartheid-era Law and Order Minister Adriaan Vlok and ex-police chief General Johan van der Merwe for attempted murder, as well as three security policemen implicated in the killing of the Pebco Three.
