ATM 'blown to bits'

Port Elizabeth - Robbers blew up a Standard Bank ATM in Bedelsdorp in Port Elizabeth on Friday, police said.
Spokesperson Captain Johan Rheeder said the robbers fled with an unknown amount of money after the explosion.
"The incident happened at about 01.25 in Booysen Park Road. The explosion totally destroyed the machine, it was blown to bits."
Rheeder said the ATM was situated at a shop and the owner went to investigate the noise.
"He saw men run away."
Police are investigating and arrests were expected soon.
