DA: We didn't copy Obama
Some say the DA's new logo bears a striking resemblance to a logo we've seen before.
SA politicians don't 'click'
Obama did. But experts say local political parties don't understand the value of a techno-savvy campaign.

Malalane - A newborn baby had to be rescued from a pit toilet on Friday after her mother, not realising she was in labour, gave birth to the little girl while on the toilet.

The 17-year-old girl and her younger sister were alone at home in Mdlala village near Malalane because their mother had gone to gather firewood in the veld.

"They had been cleaning their room when the teenager left to go to the toilet and returned with bloodstains on her clothes," said spokesperson for the Tonga police south of Malalane in Mpumalanga, Captain Rose Cwabe.

The younger girl didn't even know her sister was pregnant, so when the after-birth suddenly fell to the floor, she ran to neighbours in fright.

Paramedics were called and heard the baby crying from inside the pit toilet.

They rescued her and she and her mother were taken to Shongwe hospital for treatment.
