Robber shot dead after robbery Robber killed in shoot-out 'There is anger about crime'

Bloemfontein - One of two would-be robbers was shot and wounded in the leg at Lesedi FM radio announcer Lucky Qacha's Bloemfontein home, police spokesperson Thandi Mbambo said on Monday.

"He woke up to investigate after he heard a noise in the roof, " Mbambo said.

Qacha saw the two trying to climb into the roof. He fired a shot and wounded one in the leg. The would-be robber was later arrested and is under police guard in hospital.

Mbambo said police were investigating charges of attempted murder and attempted housebreaking.
