Johannesburg - A woman was arrested after a foetus was found floating in an Eastern Cape dam, said police on Thursday.
"Community members found the foetus floating in the Bolotwa dam in Dutywa on Wednesday afternoon," said spokesperson Captain Lingsile Magama.
The woman was arrested in the afternoon in Bolotwa village.
"She faces a charge of concealment of death," said Magama.
It was not known how long the foetus had been floating in the dam.
In a second incident, a 38-year-old man was arrested in Colosa village, also in Dutywa, after he threatened the residents with a gun.
"He was arrested after threatening members of the community with an unlicensed pistol on Thursday morning," said Magama.
