Pretoria - The body of a man was found wrapped in a duvet in the boot of a car in the Pick 'n Pay Hypermarket parking lot at Faerie Glen, Pretoria, police said on Monday.

The body, of the man believed to be in his forties, was found on Monday morning after police were called by the centre's security guards.

The car in which the body was found, a grey BMW, had apparently been left in the parking lot for a few days, said police spokesperson Captain Lucas Sithole.

Police are investigating murder, but said the man had no visible wounds on his body.

The man is believed to be a Pretoria resident. Police have not yet contacted his relatives.
