Johannesburg - The grieving family of a Houghton schoolboy want answers as to why he was stabbed to death.
Mfundo Ntshangase of King Edward VII High School was stabbed seven times by pupils from another school at a party on Sunday.
The 18-year-old died at hospital. His friend was also stabbed in the chest but survived. He was discharged from hospital on Monday.
A special police task team set up to investigate the crime arrested four Athlone Boys High pupils in connection with the incident on Tuesday.
Captain Cheryl Engelbrecht said a fifth teenage suspect was being sought.
'This was her only child'
Meanwhile, Ntshangase's distraught mother, Nonhlanhla, wants answers about the incident.
Her twin sister, Sibongile Sephakwe, said the family needed to know why boys would commit such a crime.
"Nonhlanhla is very upset. This was her only son and only child. She now wants to visit these boys in jail to find out why they would kill a defenceless boy," said Sephakwe.
"Nonhlanhla wants to know why they stabbed her son seven times."
