Durban - Three more bodies have been found in the sugarcane fields near the KwaZulu-Natal town of Umzinto, e.tv news reported on Friday.

The three were found in a field adjacent to the Shayamoya township.

A total of eight bodies have been found in the sugarcane field.

Last weekend five people were arrested in connection with the initial discovery of five bodies.

Two people were released late on Tuesday, while three others appeared in Umzinto Magistrate's Court on charges of kidnapping and murder.

One of the three people arrested is believed to have directed police to the two bodies discovered on Thursday.
