Mom killed in upmarket Pta home

Johannesburg - A woman was raped and shot dead in her home in Lynnwood Manor in Pretoria on Tuesday evening, Gauteng police said.
Spokesperson Paul Ramoloko said the woman in her 40s was raped and shot dead in her house.
"The suspects in their early 20s fled on foot, but were found and arrested in a veld around the area.
"We also recovered a firearm and jewellery from them," said Ramoloko.
He said they believed there might have been more than two culprits involved.
Ramaloko told Beeld that the victim's son arrived on his scooter at the house at around 20:00.
He had not yet been informed of the attack.
"What is going on here? Is everything ok? Is my mom ok? Tell me, tell me?!" he demanded to know.
When a policeman told him his mother had died, he burst into tears and cried in the policeman's arms.
The newspaper reported that the woman's husband had booked a flight from Cape Town.
Her daughter, who was in the Kruger National Park, had not yet been informed of her mother's death.
