Why solidarity in rugby but not in fighting crime 19/10/2007 07:25
Well done to the Springboks, you have managed to get a country to stand behind you. Give us the secret, so we can use it to fight crime, so the whole country can see that the victims of crime in South Africa has been SENTENCED TO DEATH
I am not a rugby fan, I will not wear green and gold, like the president asked the country to. why should we listen to him, when our people are being buthchered to death. Let's think about all the crime victims being buried on Saturday instead of celebrating. - Sardick Davids |

All criminal activities are being captivated by our government 19/10/2007 07:29
From a political perspective point of view, it is the right of the civilians to feel protected and safe by the gvnt, unfortunately we're born in South Africa whereby we live in a dog eat dog country, Criminals are welcome and honored, leaders do not action any citizenship complains and concerns. If we cant be safe in our own country where on earth do we actually belong. Political leaders do their own, the concept of law and legislation has gone beyond the meaning, FOREIGNERS are doing their wills - kenny mkhabela |

shock over the death of Lucky Dube 19/10/2007 07:39
What have we as South Africans have become is scary. THose ruthless bastards who gunned down Lucky have families and friends who might know about their criminal activities and yet do nothing about it. Those who know and keep quiet are just as bad and guilty as the actual perpetrators. you find mothers, wives and girlfriends who actually support the actions of these bastards and boast about it. I am saddened and angry by the death of this great man. NO one deserves to die like this. - olivia |

Crime will prevent many of us to go back home 19/10/2007 07:42
The death of Lucky Dube is sad and unnecessary. The government MUST take drastic action to stop crime in our beloved motherland. Most of us who live abroad want to go back home but are afraid to do so because crime is simple out of control. - Phil |

Hijackers gun down Lucky Dube 19/10/2007 07:44
Firstly,I would like to say that my heart goes out to the Dube Family for losing one their own.May God give them strength through this difficult time.
In the grip of a rugby fever,we have been cruelly reminded of the crime levels in our country. One of our stars, one of our brothers, one of our fathers, one of our countrymen has been brutally taken away from us.
I would like implore our leaders in government to take the fight to the criminals. We can make this country safe! Enough is enough!!!!! - Zanemvula Miza |

Lucky's death 19/10/2007 07:51
It is sad news that we have lost a great son of the Republic.I failed to understand why criminals disregard the human life, why don't you simply take a car and spare a human life. My brother (also a Dube) was killed in front of me 11 years ago but the trauma is still with me, just imagine the trauma & scars that will be left on Lucky Dube's son. All South Africans should unite and fight this disease before it becomes an epidermic like Aids. - Another Dube |

hijackers 19/10/2007 07:52
what is south africa coming to when innocent artists are killed every second of every day? we are posing a very disappointing front to the whole world. south africa is losing its process to its leaders that have horrific pasts and disturbing deals that we as the public are informed and yet we cant bring out our own comments. this is not what we about, we are worth more. if the goverment does not stand up and face this head on, we are going to lose everything little by little. - matsoanelo radebe |

Tragedy 19/10/2007 08:03
This just saddens me. A legend...but I somehow doubt that our national "leaders" actually care. Dube's death certainly won't dent their income, so they don't need to change anything...
They only care when it directly influences their lives. I mean really, with so much pointing to Selebi's guilt...no smoke without a fire. But he'll get off scott-free. I doubt my rant will change anything, just lifts they weight off my chest a little. - M |

The death of Lucky Dube 19/10/2007 08:18
Today South Africa has lost one of her greatest and Influential artist of all time. Luke Dube as touched the hearts of many people through his music and has been a house-hold name to all South African.
I pary that our country take a stand against such cirmes and to bring to justice the criminals that have caused heartache to families who have lost loved-ones through these unjustified acts.
My Sympathies to the families of Lucke Dube.
