Johannesburg - North West police say a man in his 40s was stabbed to death by his fiancée in Roodepan near Kimberley on Sunday.

Spokesperson Tshepo Mofokeng said the woman was arrested and detained at the Kimberley police station.

He said the woman was charged with murder and was due to appear in the Kimberley Magistrate's Court on Monday.

Police were continuing with their investigations.

In another incident at Roodepan on Sunday, a 35-year-old man allegedly stabbed his wife to death.

He was also scheduled to appear in court on Monday.

Police appealed to the community to apply better ways of solving domestic disputes and encouraged them to report any acts of intimidation that could result in a serious crime.
