Hospital security questioned
22/10/2007 21:21 - (SA)
Pretoria - Security needs to be stepped up at the Seshego Hospital, the Public Servants Association (PSA) said on Monday.
The PSA said that it condemned the attack at the hospital in Polokwane on Friday - that left four senior staff dead after a dismissed driver gunned them down.
The incident raised serious questions about the quality of security at the hospital, the PSA said.
"The role and purpose of security officers would have to be revised and stepped up drastically," said the PSA's Provincial Manager in Limpopo, Pieter Koen.
He expressed condolences to the families of the deceased members on behalf of the PSA.
