Boys offered cellphones for sex

Johannesburg - An alleged paedophile is being hunted by police after he sexually abused a 12-year-old boy, say KwaZulu-Natal police.
Spokesperson Superintendent Vincent Mdunge said the man, in his late 20s, had been visiting a primary school in Hillcrest and "forming relationships" with boys.
Mdunge said: "The suspect approached boys outside school and struck up a friendship with them. He visited them often and told the boys he would buy them new cellphones.
"He asked one of the boys to meet him in central town, where he sexually abused the child. When the child went home he told his parents about what happened."
According to the police, the boy was taken to a hospital, where the assault was confirmed.
He said: "The Durban Family, Child and Sexual offences Unity is investigating the matter. The suspect is still at large.
"We want to warn children to not be taken in by this man and, if they are approached by someone who is willing to upgrade their cellphone or do something for them, they should just walk away because this man is dangerous."
