Missing pilot found in Kalahari Missing pilot found alive Missing pilot 'left a note'

Johannesburg - Rescue services are still searching for the Cessna 210 light aircraft that went missing on Wednesday, said SA Search and Rescue Organisation head Charles Norval on Friday.

"We haven't had success, but are still searching. The rescue team are following all the leads," Norval said.

The Cessna was reported missing in the Baviaanskloof area of the Eastern Cape.

Norval said the search had been intensified and ground police were assisting.

The search team includes the Mountain Club of South Africa, the SA Police Service, the SA Air Force, the National Sea Rescue Institute and the SA Reserve Force.

The last contact with the Cessna was when it left Wonderboom airport at 09:00 on Wednesday.
