Woman shot, thrown from car

Johannesburg - Mpumalanga police are investigating a case of murder after an Emzinoni policeman shot and killed his girlfriend on Wednesday morning.
The man, an inspector, shot the woman, who was an assistant director of correctional services in Bethal, at 11:30.
"The man pushed his girlfriend out of his car and shot her five times. She died on the scene" said Superintendent Abie Khoabane.
Police later found the inspector at his home.
"When he saw the police he shot himself in the head. He is now under police guard at a local police hospital," said Khoabane.
The motive for the shooting is not known.
