Johannesburg - Five people were arrested in connection with the murder of a Chinese businessman Zhao Yang in Ogies, Mpumulanga police said on Thursday.
The five - ranging in age from 18 to 26 - were arrested in Phola and Ogies on Wednesday by the province's Organised Crime Unit, said Captain Leonard Hlathi.
Two suspects remained at large.
The businessman was attacked and stabbed by a group of people at his shop in Ogies as he was about to close.
They stole several items of clothing including running shoes and jeans, cellphones and computers.
"They then set the shop alight with Mr Yang still inside," said Hlathi.
The police recovered a computer, two cellphones and various clothing items stolen from Yang's shop during the arrest of the five.
One of the suspects - an eighteen-year-old woman - is expected to appear in court on Friday.
The others are due to appear on Monday.
