Woman killed in secure complex

Johannesburg - An elderly woman was shot dead at her home in Sandown, emergency services said on Sunday.
Netcare 911 spokesperson Mark Stokoe said the woman was killed in a secure complex by an alleged robber or hijacker.
"It was a suspected robbery or possibly a hijacking. However we are unable to state whether anything was stolen or not," he said.
Despite resuscitation attempts by a private doctor on scene, the woman died.
In another incident, robbers shot dead a man in Parkmore after stealing money at his house, said Stokoe.
"It is not clear how the robbers gained access into the high security home. The robbers shot the man on their way out," he said.
Meanwhile, two men were shot and seriously wounded during a bar fight in Lewisham on the West Rand, he said.
"A man in the bar pulled out his gun and fired a number of shots at two men fighting in the bar. Both were hit in the chest. They were taken to a local hospital," he said.
The men are in a serious condition.
