'I blame the police' Woman killed in secure complex Town shocked by brutal murder

Johannesburg - A 76-year-old woman was found killed in her Highland Road home in Kensington, paramedics said on Sunday.

"Paramedics responded to an assault and robbery call at the house on Saturday after 16:00.

A gang of robbers had assaulted and tied up the woman and her husband," said Netcare 911 spokesperson Nick Dollman.

The woman died on the scene while her husband was rushed to a local hospital with head and facial injuries, he said.

The robbers, who'd been armed with knives, ransacked the house before fleeing, Dollman said.
