Dad killed at soccer practice

Johannesburg - A 47-year-old man was shot dead while waiting for his son to finish soccer practice at the Balfour Park sports ground, Johannesburg police said on Tuesday.
Captain Bheki Mavundla said the incident happened after 20:00 on Monday, along Louis Botha Road.
Three men, one armed with a pistol, attempted to rob a woman who was also waiting for her son. She managed to lock the doors of her car.
The robbers then went to the man's car. A shot was heard and the robbers fled on foot without taking anything.
The man was found shot in the neck and was declared dead on the scene.
A case of murder has been opened.
