Cape Town - Police in the Western Cape are still searching for two murder suspects who escaped from Bellville Magistrate's Court cells while awaiting their scheduled appearance on Tuesday, the SABC said on Sunday.

Police spokesperson, Billy Jones, said the pair were arrested in August last year in connection with a double-murder which occurred in Delft in May.

Jones said both men were regarded as dangerous and possibly armed.

An internal investigation has been instituted into possible negligence by two police members at the court, the SABC said.
