Durban - A Durban cashier was wounded during a cash heist at the weekend, police said on Monday.
Captain Debbie O'Brien said the incident took place at a Spar in Kloof on Saturday.
"Two Coin security guards had picked up three cash boxes and as they were leaving nine armed men entered the premises and opened fire," said O'Brien.
A female cashier was struck in the arm and later taken to hospital.
"One security guard was disarmed and three cash boxes were taken," she said.
The robbers fled in three cars, O'Brien said.
