Johannesburg - The case involving television actor, presenter and choreographer, Somizi Mhlongo was postponed in the Randburg Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
Magistrate Mombakazi Thwele postponed the case to March 7 in order for Mhlongo's new attorney, Nyiko Khupane, to familiarise himself with the case.
Mhlongo was charged with indecent assault on a 28-year-old plaintiff who did not appear in court on Tuesday.
Mhlongo allegedly "played" with the plaintiff's private parts after he asked Mhlongo for an autograph.
Mhlongo was arrested in Douglasdale in November last year.
"We will see what will happen in March," said a very jovial Mhlongo.
Earlier, a blonde Mhlongo, posed for photographers outside court.
He was dressed in a black shirt, gold tie, tight-fitting jeans, and stiletto boots.
He was also wearing a black cap with gold writing which read "Fucking criminal".
Mhlongo has been in the entertainment industry for 25 years.
After a number of television appearances, he performed in Mbongeni Ngema's Broadway production of Sarafina for two years.
In 1991 he was asked to star in and choreograph the movie Sarafina.
After Broadway, he then went on to star in shows including Generations, Soul City and Backstage. In 1998 he became the first black choreographer to stage a Miss South Africa pageant.
