Isidingo cast sitting at home Shock over TV star's death

Johannesburg - Local South African actress, Ashleigh Callie, who is known for her portrayal as Lee Haynes in local production Isidingo is in hospital after she was involved in a car accident on Friday night, 702 reported on Saturday.

Netcare911 spokesperson, Mark Stokoe said that they were not allowed to reveal the names of those involved in the accident, but did confirm " that a local actress, who stars in a local daily TV series" was among the injured.

"Two motor vehicles were involved in a head on collision in Emmarentia at about 22.30 on Friday night," said Stokoe, "a total of six people were injured in the collision, which saw one of the vehicles overturned".

The collision was severe, five patients were classified as serious but stable and one patient was in a critical condition, having sustained numerous injuries Stokoe said.

All six were taken to various hospitals in Johannesburg.

"Metro police officers were on scene to investigate the cause if of the accident and members of the Johannesburg emergency services assisted in the extrication of the injured," said Stokoe.
