  • Pretoria - The case of three men accused of killing nursery school principal Rinda Abraham was postponed in the Pretoria District Court on Friday.

The three accused - Dinis Gentil Nhone, 36, Christavao Fresco Mbina, 19 and a third male who claimed to be under the age of 16 - had their case postponed to April 3.

The case was postponed to give the Director of Public Prosecutions an opportunity to finalise a charge sheet.

The accused who claims to be 15, was already facing a charge of being in unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition, which was allegedly used in Abraham's murder.

His two co-accused are charged with murder, robbery with aggravating circumstances and the illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.

It is alleged that they attacked Pretoria nursery school principal Abraham's family in their Waterkloof Ridge home in January.

When Abraham came running out of her room after she heard shots, one of the robbers grabbed her around the neck and shot her in the heart.

Second accused Mbina was due to appear in court again on Friday, on charges relating to the murder of Briton Fred Picton-Turbervill in the same Pretoria suburb where Abraham was killed.
