Johannesburg - Five armed men allegedly robbed a CNA store at the Victory Park shopping centre on Saturday, Gauteng police said.

Superintendent Lungelo Dlamini said the men entered the store, held the staff at gunpoint and made off with money and cellphones belonging to the staff.

The men fled, but were pursued by the Linden police. A shoot-out between the men and the police ensued, during which one of the suspected robbers was injured.

Dlamini said a person was arrested during the incident and the other four were still at large.

Three firearms were seized, two on the street and one in the vehicle which the men abandoned during the incident.
