    Durban - A Durban couple were severely injured on Sunday after being attacked at their home in Hillcrest, paramedics said.

    ER24 spokesperson Derrick Banks said the husband was hit with a hammer while his wife was repeatedly stabbed.

    The couple survived and were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

    It is unclear if they were robbed.

    Police spokesperson Daniela Veldhurzen was not immediately available for comment.
