Man shoots SARS worker

Pretoria - A 35-year-old man shot and killed his girlfriend on Monday morning before turning the gun on himself at Orchards in Pretoria, police said.

Captain Lucas Sithole said the man shot the woman, 31, at about 05:45.

"The motive for the killings is unknown. We have opened murder and inquest dockets," he said.

Sithole said the woman was an employee at the South African Revenue Service but she could not be named until her relatives were informed.

"We are still investigating the identity of the man," he said.
