Truck hijacked, guard raped

Thabamoopo - A security guard was raped when a gang hijacked a truck from Thabamoopo Psychiatric Hospital in Limpopo.
The 24-year-old woman was raped when the gang struck at about 01:30 on Sunday.
"A group of heavily armed men attacked the security guards who were on duty at the hospital and tied them up with wires, their own handcuffs and shoelaces," said Inspector Manong Tshehla.
The gang also stole the guards' torches and cellphones.
The white Nissan truck, with registration number GHD 200 N, has not been recovered.
Another gang of six robbers is also on the run after hijacking a petrol and diesel tanker at the Engen Depot in Mokopane, Limpopo, on Sunday night.
The two tankers were hijacked at about 21:00 and found abandoned in Marble Hall and Pretoria North on Monday, said Superintendent Mohale Ramatseba.
Both tankers had been emptied of their fuel.
"The robbers attacked two security guards inside the depot, assaulting them and tying their hands and feet with rope before driving away in the two tankers," said Ramatseba.
Police have opened an armed robbery case.
