Johannesburg - A 34-year-old woman was hijacked at gunpoint in front of her house in Rondendal in Krugersdorp, Gauteng police said on Wednesday.

Captain Jacob Raboroko said the woman came home at about 09:30 on Tuesday and stopped in front of her house.

She was busy speaking on her cellphone when it was snatched from her hands by a man who then pointed a firearm at her.

The man demanded her keys, got into the driver's seat and drove away.

The woman was not injured.

A case of hijacking was being investigated. No arrests had been made, said Raboroko.
