Families still wait for bodies

Johannesburg - The families of the 18 Mozambicans who died in a bus accident in SA last Thursday are still waiting for the remains of the bodies to be repatriated, Mozambique's Daily Noticias reported on Tuesday.
The accident occurred last Thursday after a Vaal Maseru bus carrying 57 passengers from Carletonville to Maputo veered off the road in Komatipoort.
The bus had been transporting mainly mineworkers and their families.
Eighteen people died - three of them children - and, according to the newspaper, they have to be identified by DNA testing.
By Monday, the bodies of the Mozambicans were still in Tonga Hospital in Komatipoort, awaiting repatriation to Mozambique, the report said.
In August last year, 20 Mozambicans were involved in an accident in Komatipoort after an unregistered taxi destined for Johannesburg crashed into a truck.
Most of those victims were burnt beyond recognition and it took authorities two weeks to positively identify them.
The Mozambican embassy later approached the South African authorities to assist with repatriation.
