Pretoria - A taxi driver was seriously injured on Wednesday in Menlyn when two men pushed him in front of a passing vehicle in a road-rage attack, said paramedics.
According to witnesses, the attack was sparked when the taxi swerved in front of another vehicle. It is unknown if the taxi came to a halt.
Two men got out of the other vehicle and started assaulting the taxi driver.
ER24 spokesperson Werner Vermaak heard from bystanders that the men pulled the driver from his taxi and pushed him in front of a moving vehicle.
Paramedics treated the 41-year-old driver for fractures in his lower leg and a head injury. The driver was later taken to hospital.
