Durban - Six people were injured in a taxi accident in Shongweni, near Durban, on Friday night, ER24 emergency services said on Saturday.
The taxi rolled down an embankment after the driver lost control of the vehicle when he was unable to take a corner, said ER24 spokesperson Derrick Banks.
The vehicle overturned several times and came to a halt in bushes below.
When paramedics arrived on the scene, most of the commuters had already climbed up the embankment and were seated on the verge. One of the passengers, who remained at the bottom of the embankment, was stabilised after complaining of severe pain to her back and neck, he said.
She was taken to the R K Khan Hospital. The remaining patients were treated on the scene for minor injuries.
