Truck plunges off embankment

Durban - One man died and another was injured when a truck plunged off an embankment near Durban's Shallcross suburb on Friday, paramedics said.
ER24 spokesperson Derrick Banks said the incident took place at 06:45 on the Hans Dettman offramp.
"The passenger died at the scene and the truck driver sustained minor injuries," he said.
A metro police officer said it was believed that the truck driver lost control at a sharp bend and went off the embankment.
