Man beaten to death with brick

Johannesburg - A 23-year-old man was beaten to death with a brick in Duduza, Brakpan after trying to help a woman who was being assaulted by three men, police said on Monday.
Inspector Tommy Tomlinson said the man tried to intervene when he saw three men fighting with a woman on Sunday morning. One of the men then hit him with a brick and he died on the scene.
"He was trying to help the woman and then he ended up being killed," said Tomlinson.
Police expect to make an arrest soon.
The woman was not seriously injured.
