Female cop shoots superior

Johannesburg - A female police constable allegedly shot a superior officer near the Cleveland police station, Gauteng police have said. Captain Cheryl Engelbrecht said the two were on their way back to the station when she allegedly shot the officer.
The pair worked together.
The constable had a case of assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm against her because she had previously allegedly assaulted a female civilian worker at the station.
The constable had asked the officer to accompany her to a senior officer's house to discuss her assault case.
The constable is said to have fled on foot after shooting her colleague while they were in the car.
He was rushed to hospital and was in a stable condition.
Police were searching for the constable on Sunday.
She would face charges of attempted murder and assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, said Engelbrecht.
