Durban - A 20-year-old woman was repeatedly raped by her uncle early on Monday morning, police said on Tuesday.

Captain Jabulani Mdletshe said the man had throttled the woman at her KwaMsane home, covered her mouth with a piece of cloth, and raped her twice.

"He then ordered her to have a shower and threatened her that if she told anyone about this, he would kill her," Mdletshe said.

Police said the uncle then packed his bags and left the area.

"We don't know his whereabouts and have not yet made an arrest," he said.
