Two killed in Tembisa attacks
19/05/2008 08:55 - (SA)
Johannesburg - Two people were killed and 26 shacks were set alight in Tembisa, Johannesburg, on Monday morning, the SABC reported.
This is as a result of alleged xenophobic attacks, spreading across informal settlements in Johannesburg, the report said.
Police spokesperson Veli Nhlapo said the displaced people were being housed at a nearby community hall.
"At the moment some of the people have been taken to the city hall as a place of safety, but some of them are still running around and do not know where to go."
