Johannesburg - Former ANC chief whip Tony Yengeni has filed a notice of intention to oppose an application to the Cape High Court by three trustees of the insolvent estate of slain mining magnate Brett Kebble, SABC reported on Thursday.
The joint trustees, Francina Venter, Bantu-Bonke Nduna and Johannes Klopper, are demanding back payments of about R250 000 allegedly made to Yengeni by Kebble.
Kebble was shot dead in Johannesburg in September 2005.
According to affidavits before court, six individual payments of between R40 000 and R80 000 were made to Yengeni between May 2003 and December 2004.
The court postponed the matter to June 24, SABC reported.
