Couple shot day before wedding

Johannesburg - A man was killed and his fiancée shot and wounded in an attempted armed robbery in Johannesburg, a day before their wedding, paramedics said on Wednesday.
"Paramedics responded to the shooting at 21:30 on Tuesday at Chartwell Agricultural Holdings in Douglasdale, Fourways," said Netcare 911 spokesperson Nick Dollman.
"Police at the scene said the couple were due to get married today (Wednesday)."
He said the man had been shot in head, and died at the scene. The woman was shot in her right shoulder and also sustained an injury to her head.
"She was in a serious condition and was stabilised by paramedics at the scene. She was then transported to the Fourways Life Hospital for further treatment," Dollman said.
