Durban - Two people have been arrested in connection with the murder of a Durban woman who was shot dead at a service station at the weekend, police said on Tuesday.
Superintendent Daniela Veldhuizen said the men would appear in court soon.
Hillcrest friends Jennifer-Rae Hall, Kate Flemming and Amy Landsdell were on their way to a camp on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast on Saturday, when they stopped at a BP service station - situated on the same premises as a shopping centre - in Amanzimtoti to change drivers.
Before alighting from the car, they were shot at, police said.
Hall died at the scene while Flemming was wounded and taken to hospital.
She is reportedly in a stable condition. Landsdell - who was in the back seat - was uninjured.
The hijackers fled in the woman's VW Polo.
Veldhuizen was unable to confirm if the stolen car had been recovered.
