Johannesburg - A 27-year-old woman was arrested after police seized drug manufacturing equipment worth R9m in Muldersdrift, police said on Tuesday.
Spokesperson Lungelo Dlamini said equipment used to manufacture the drug tik was found on Monday.
"The equipment was discovered after an investigation the past two months.
"We watched a plot in Muldersdrift and followed a truck which left the premises and went to a house in Isando. We stopped and searched the truck," Dlamini said.
The equipment was found inside the truck and it was believed that the suspects were going to use it to set up a drug manufacturing laboratory in an unknown place.
"Police searched a Mercedes Benz which was found on the premises and discovered dagga with a street value of R108 000. The woman was arrested and charged with dealing with drugs."
Dlamini said officers went to business premises in Spartan where they found drug manufacturing chemicals. The find was linked to the syndicate operating in Muldersdrift.
