Pretoria - The three men who allegedly set the Kruger Park flats in central Pretoria on fire did not appear in the city's magistrate's court on Thursday.
"They will only be appearing in the Pretoria Magistrate's Court on Friday," said police spokesperson Sergeant Harris Seanego.
This after confusion at the court as to where the three would be appearing, after it emerged that they were not in the court's holding cells and that the court was not in possession of the docket.
The three, aged 27, 32 and 35, faced charges of arson and murder. They were arrested after security guards at the flats allegedly saw them park their vehicle outside the building, after it had been seen in the building's parking area before the fire started.
The fire was allegedly started by residents of the Kruger Park flats on Tuesday after Red Ants security guards began evicting their neighbours in the Schubart Park block.
Five people including a toddler died in the incident.
The Tshwane metro was later expected to brief the media on events at the flats.
