Rapist bites woman's ear off

Johannesburg - A man wanted for rape and assault was arrested after he was severely beaten by a group of angry residents in Etwatwa on Johannesburg's East Rand on Monday morning, police said.
Spokesperson Constable Mabote Motopi said the man was taken to a local hospital for treatment after the assault.
"It is alleged that the man raped a woman and bit her ear off during an attack on July 14. He also beat up the woman's boyfriend.
"The woman then recognised her attacker again this [Monday] morning and he was beaten by several community members."
The man was expected to appear in Daveyton Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
