Two killed in ATM shoot-out

Pretoria - Two ATM robbers were killed and four arrested in the early hours of Thursday in a wild shoot-out with the police's national intervention unit in Klipgat, Mapobane, north of Pretoria.
Police Director Phuti Setati said the suspects were linked to the explosion of an ATM on Thursday at Majareng village near Klipgat.
"The police followed up information and went after the suspects who were at a house in Klipgat.
"The suspects began firing at police and there was a shoot-out. Two men were shot dead and four arrested.
"Police seized an AK-47 assault rifle, a shotgun, three pistols, explosives, a large amount of money and a vehicle that is suspected to be stolen," said Setati.
He said the suspects could be linked to other crimes in the area.
