Johannesburg - Fourteen armed men robbed the crew of a cash-in-transit vehicle on Thursday near Ga Dikgale in Polokwane, Limpopo police said.

Superintendent Mohale Ramatseba said the men, who were travelling in three cars, shot and punctured the tyres of the Fidelity Guards vehicle on the Modjadjiskloof road before opening a safe.

"They took an undisclosed amount of money and left one safe behind without touching it," said Ramatseba.

No one was injured and no one was arrested.

A case of armed robbery was opened. Anyone with information was urged to call 076 138 3595.
